Jan Rosol's philosophy is to combine esthetical values with exceptionally well crafted product, remaining faithful to the European tradition of design and craftsmanship of the 20th century. It is based on his lifelong experience and commitment to art and design.

Following his studies in the Czech Republic at Prague's prestigeous Umelecko Prumyslova Skola (School of Applied Arts), he has worked as a sculptor, restorer, graphic artist, photographer and furniture designer. With over twenty years of experience in Europe and the US, Jan Rosol always creates the finest product, never compromising his philosophy.

janrosol.com (also atelierofprague.com and janrosolphotography.com) is just a small preview of the enormous volume of work he has produced, and displays only a portion of his furniture designs, photography and art. Additionally, his studios have created numerous catalogs, greeting cards, magazine ads, etc.

With the help and support of his wife, Eva Rosol, they established their studios in Los Angeles in 1985. In 1989 their studios were moved to New York City, where they still showcase Jan Rosol's contemporary furniture design and photography. Eva Rosol now runs their gallery on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
